The Town Mill is one of Lyme Regis’ leading attractions.  Just a few minutes’ walk from the sea front you will find the only volunteer-run, non commercial mill that mills and produces excellent flour, virtually every day of the year.  The mill was rescued from dereliction and demolition plans in 1991, and Lyme locals raised over ÂŁ500,000 to buy the buildings and begin a daunting restoration project. Ten years later the Mill reopened and milled the first flour for over 70 years, the Town Mill has evolved and is not a vibrant complex: a thriving arts hub, occasional entertainment venue and home to a variety of small businesses.
